Bella Cloud, a songwriter with roots in San Diego, California (USA) based in Naarm/Melbourne (AUS), is at heart a wanderer, using music as a reflective surface for her travels and navigating through interpersonal relationships. With her newly released debut EP, The Limerent, released in 2025, she extrapolates the arc of limerence, both sonically and lyrically reflecting the process of losing oneself in the process of loving another and the eventual return to self when it's over. Her new single “Spin,” out May 15, is a melancholic indie folk pop tune that extends this exploration of self; this time a meditation on the New Year and processing endings and beginnings within oneself. Cloud’s music often arrives through fruitful vessels such as open tunings, delicate finger picking, and illustrative lyricism, intricately weaving stories together through her folk rock sensibilities. A seasoned performer with shows across the West Coast of the US and in Melbourne, Australia; in her live performances, Cloud carves out a space to create a reflective, honest, and excavating experience for listeners with open ears. In May 2026, you can find Cloud touring England on her first DIY tour. She hopes her music lands with audiences who enjoy folk rock, chamber pop, and indie rock.

“I wrote this song in a moment of emotional disorientation, the time before and after New Years is always a bit of a liminal time for me. On that particular New Year's day as I was reflecting on that last year it felt like being suspended in time between the present, past, and future, unable to differentiate one from another. So in a sense, Spin feels like both a eulogy for a period of time that encapsulated the ending of a really important relationship and my early twenties and also a prayer looking to the future that I might become more rooted within myself in the coming year.” -Bella Cloud on Spin
